Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Deck (“the Software”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not download, install, or use the Software.

Description of Service

Deck is a clipboard management application designed exclusively for macOS. The Software provides clipboard history management, search, encryption, AI-assisted processing, and local area network sharing capabilities. Deck is developed and maintained by Yuze Pan (“the Developer”).

Intellectual Property

Deck, including but not limited to its source code, object code, user interface design, icons, documentation, website content, and all associated materials, is the intellectual property of the Developer and is protected by applicable copyright laws. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

The Deck source code repository is publicly visible for transparency purposes. Public visibility does not constitute an open-source license, a waiver of copyright, or a grant of any rights beyond those explicitly stated in these Terms. The source code is provided under a source-available license — you may view it for reference only.

Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use officially released builds of Deck for personal, lawful purposes on devices you own or control. This license does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit the Software.

Restrictions

You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:

  • Copy, redistribute, sublicense, lease, lend, or transfer the Software to any third party;
  • Modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software;
  • Create derivative works based on the Software or any of its components;
  • Use the Software for any unlawful, unauthorized, or prohibited purpose;
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice or proprietary marking;
  • Use the Software in a manner that interferes with its proper functioning;
  • Submit pull requests or code contributions to the repository without prior written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (a) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Software; (b) any conduct or content of any third party in connection with the Software; (c) any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data; or (d) any other matter relating to the Software.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which describes how Deck handles your data. By using the Software, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described therein.

Third-Party Services

Certain features of Deck may interact with third-party services, including AI model providers and Apple iCloud. Your use of such services is subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those third parties. The Developer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services.

Updates and Modifications

The Developer may release updates, patches, or new versions of the Software from time to time. These Terms apply to all such updates unless a separate set of terms is provided. The Developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Software or any feature thereof at any time without prior notice.

Changes to These Terms

The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the last-updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
