Homebrew

Install with Homebrew — run all three lines in order:

Terminal
$
brew tap yuzeguitarist/deck
$
export HOMEBREW_CASK_OPTS="--no-quarantine"
$
brew install --cask deckclip

First launch

The first time you open Deck, macOS may say it can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. That happens because the app is not notarized through Apple’s paid Developer Program. The source code is public—you can use it with confidence.

To open it: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the message about Deck, and click Open Anyway.

You only need to do this once after the first install. Later updates run inside the app—no need to repeat this step.

System Requirements

macOS 14.0 Sonoma or later
Apple Silicon or Intel processor
~20MB disk space

Why Choose Deck?

Completely free, no in-app purchases
All Rights Reserved, with clear usage boundaries
Local-first, with core features available offline (some features use network)
No ads, no tracking
Continuously updated and maintained
